What's covered

Reporting that gets read, not filed.

Most SME reporting is produced for compliance and then ignored. We build it so the person running the business actually uses it on the 10th of every month.

Questions

Straight answers.

What is the difference between financial and management reporting?

Financial reporting produces formal statements for external users — banks, auditors, the FTA — and looks backwards. Management reporting is internal and forward-looking, built to help you run the business. Regulatory reporting is what you must submit by law. Most businesses need all three, and they serve different readers.

Do we need Power BI specifically?

No, but it is what we use because it connects to accounting data directly and refreshes rather than requiring monthly rebuilding. The point is live, trustworthy dashboards — the tool matters less than the discipline behind it.

Our bookkeeping is not great. Can you still build reporting?

Reporting is only as good as the records underneath it, so we would usually fix the bookkeeping first. Building dashboards on unreliable data produces confident-looking numbers that are wrong, which is worse than no dashboard.

Will this be audit-ready?

Yes. Statements are prepared to IFRS or IFRS for SMEs, which is the standard Corporate Tax computations require and what auditors expect. Audited statements are mandatory above AED 50 million revenue, for all Qualifying Free Zone Persons, and for tax groups.

How quickly can we see something?

Setup depends on the state of your data. Where bookkeeping is current, first dashboards typically follow within the first reporting cycle.
