Straight answers.
Does Corporate Tax apply to my business?
Most UAE businesses holding a trade licence are within scope, including free zone entities — free zone status alone doesn't mean an exemption. Whether you actually pay depends on your taxable income and the reliefs available to you. That's the first thing we establish.
What's the rate?
0% on taxable income up to AED 375,000, and 9% on the portion above it. It is not 9% on your whole profit. Taxable income also isn't the same as revenue, or as the profit in your accounts — it's your accounting profit adjusted under the Corporate Tax rules.
When is my deadline?
Nine months after your financial year ends. For a 31 December year end, that's 30 September the following year. A different year end means a different deadline — we confirm yours.
What if I've already missed one?
Tell us at the outset. Late positions are workable and there are established routes for addressing administrative penalties, but the approach depends on your specifics. Much better handled deliberately than left alone.
What do you need from me?
To begin: your trade licence. For the full work: financial statements or management accounts for the period, plus details of your shareholding and any related-party arrangements.
Do you handle VAT and bookkeeping too?
Yes. Many clients start here and then move bookkeeping, VAT and management reporting across so one team sees the whole picture. No obligation to do that.
